Originally from Colorado, I have recently moved to Peoria to continue my career in and passion for massage therapy. I have a BA from UCSB and studied massage at Denver School of Massage Therapy with continuing education from Colorado School of Healing Arts. I also have training as a Doula through DONA International.

I choose to focus my practice primarily on prenatal massage, injury massage, sports massage, and deep tissue massage. Although I do not offer these specific services, my background includes training in several of the Asian modalities, reflexology, cranial sacral, structural bodywork, Russian and more.

Each massage that I provide is individually customized. My diverse training enables me to find the type of massage and depth that is unique to each individual. It is important to me to emphasize the promotion of health in every session, which is why I use only the purest products, stimulating aromatherapy and heat therapy in every session.

I have been an avid athlete all my life and sustained my share of injuries, so I can empathize with the acute and chronic pain from injuries. I am very sensitive to the different needs of every client and am confident in my ability to discern the needs of each individual.

I believe in the healing powers of massage whether the goal is pain reduction, maintenance, stress relief, or relaxation.

Born and raised in Peoria, IL, I began practicing massage therapy in 2000 when I graduated from the Lifepath School of Massage Therapy. In 2003 I received my certification in Manual Lymph Drainage in Walschee, Austria at the Vodder School of Manual Lymph Drainage. In addition to my massage therapy practice, I am an instructor for the massage program at Illinois Central College. In order to provide my clients with the most effective benefits of pain relief, I am furthering my knowledge in Massage by taking continuing education classes on a regular basis.

I believe that massage is no longer a luxury but it is now a necessity in the healthcare system as a preventative medicine.  In addition to helping reduce stress (which in turn increases the body's immune system), massage helps to reduce acute and chronic pain.  My goal is to focus on the problem area along with using finesse. This allows the body and mind to relax which in turn causes the specific muscle to eventually release without causing excessive inflammation.   It is my intent to help you achieve both relaxation as well as pain reduction.  In addition to the treatments I provide for my clients, I will send you home with self-care instructions which include stretches that help maintain pain relief, exercises, and specific skin care directions for lymphedema patients.

I grew up in the Peoria area and have lived here all my life. I have been interested in alternative healthcare methods for as long as I can remember, however I didn’t begin to incorporate health into my career until until I began to notice serious health declines in those who are close to me. In 2003 I graduated from The Central Illinois School of Massage Therapy. I have taken numerous continuing education courses in the Chicago area and have added Hot Stones Massage, Belvi Facelift Massage and Infant Massage to the treatments that I offer. Additionally I have studied Precision Neuromuscular Therapy which has educated me specifically on the spine, arm, hips, and headaches. I have chosen to focus specifically on treatment of shoulder pain and dysfunction. I truly believe that our quality of life would be much more enjoyable if we just took the time to invest in our health.

I was raised in the Peoria area and have had an interest in massage and alternative methods of healing most of my life. Prior to becoming a massage therapist, I spent most of my working life in the IT field and hold a Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems. One day I reached a point in my life where I realized that I wasn't where I wanted to be and needed a change. I left my job and decided to chase a dream to become a massage therapist. Now I am a graduate of The Cortiva Institute from their Woodridge, IL campus location and a recently licensed massage therapist.

I am very excited about my new career and am looking forward to new opportunities, meeting new people, and beginning a journey of helping others feel the best that they can. Currently I practice Swedish massage and have experience in Deep Tissue Massage and Sports Therapy work as well. I believe that massage can be an integral part in well-being, physical fitness, and recovery from injury or trauma.

Born and raised in Central Illinois, I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from the U of I, taught junior high music for three years and have been a stay at home mom to my three daughters for 9 years. My hobbies and interests include singing, playing piano, traveling, cycling, running, fitness, and holistic approaches to health. I have always been a very active person and have trained for many cycling and running events. Through this I have experienced the many benefits of massage and therefore chose to pursue a career path in Massage Therapy. In 2010 I became a Licensed Massage Therapist after graduating from the Midwest Technical Institute in East Peoria, IL. Being a Massage Therapist provides me the opportunity to help individuals achieve a greater balance of health, pain reduction, relaxation, and overall well-being. In my practice, I offer Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, Raindrop Technique and Prenatal Massage.

In addition to being an LMT I am a Certified Aromatherapist through the Institute of Spiritual Healing and Aromatherapy. I enjoy incorporating the use of therapeutic grade essential oils into each massage in order to further enhance the massage experience.

I look forward to continuing my education opportunities so that I can expand the techniques and modalities that I offer to clients. I am grateful to have a job that I feel passionate about, which allows me the opportunity to help others and, at the same time, brings me a great sense of fulfillment.

My name is Jesse Carter and I'm a small town Illinois native. Before becoming a licensed massage therapist in November of 2010 I was a factory worker. Now instead of breaking my back I am here to help yours. My schooling was completed at Midwest Technical Institute in East Peoria.

I love my new career and all the possibilities that it holds. My menu is small but I plan to build it up in the near future. For now I offer Swedish, deep tissue, sports, and hot stone massage. I am excited to do what I can to help my clients feel their best.

I have beeen practicing massage therapy since graduating from Central Illinois School of Massage Therapy in 2003. Early on in my life I didn't realize I had an interest in massage, although I would always be massaging family members' or co-workers' shoulders and I enjoyed making them feel better. It wasn't until I received my first professional massage that I knew massage therapy was what I wanted to do.

I am a member of the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. I am also a Certified Infant Massage Instructor; I was trained by Infant Massage USA. Currently I am pursuing certification in Intergrative Neurosomatic Therapy which is a structurally integrative approach to pain relief.

Stress is the number one cause of all disease and I believe that through massage therapy we can reduce pain, increase circulation and lower blood pressure which is all part of lowering the stress that our bodies are subjected to on a daily basis.

I attended massage therapy school at the Soma Institute for Clinical Massage Therapy in 2004. My interest in the healthcare system became a love for massage therapy and what the right training can do to help so many different people. After school, I returned to the Peoria area and began my practice as a massage therapist. Since then, I have continued my love for massage and helping people. I have continued my education specializing in prenatal massage and have also started training as a doula at DONA International. I also have training in sports massage, myofascial release and deep tissue therapy.

I am dedicated to supporting my clients and to helping them meet their goals whether it is for injury prevention, release from pre-and postnatal pains, or simple relaxation due to stress. I truly do believe in the body's ability to heal itself and that massage is one resource to help us to be able to do that!
