Originally from Colorado, I have recently moved to Peoira to continue my career in and passion for massage therapy. I have a BA from UCSB and studied massage at Denver School of Massage Therapy with continuing education from Colorado School of Healing Arts. I also have training as a Doula through DONA International.
I choose to focus my practice primarily on prenatal massage, injury massage, sports massage, and deep tissue massage. Although I do not offer these specific services, my background includes training in several of the Asian modalities, reflexology, cranial sacral, structural bodywork, russian and more.
Each massage that I provide is individually customized. My diverse training enables me to find the type of massage and depth that is unique to each individual. It is important to me to emphasize the promotion of health in every session, which is why I use only the purest products, stimulating aromatherapy and heat therapy in every session.
I have been an avid athlete all my life and sustained my share of injuries, so I can empathize with the acute and chronic pain from injuries. I am very sensitive to the different needs of every client and am confident in my ability to discern the needs of each individual.
I believe in the healing powers of massage whether the goal is pain reduction, maintenance, stress relief, or relaxation.

Born and raised in Peoria, IL, I began practicing massage therapy in 2000 when I graduated from the Lifepath School of Massage Therapy. In 2003 I received my certification in Manual Lymph Drainage in Walschee, Austria at the Vodder School of Manual Lymph Drainage. In addition to my massage therapy practice, I am an instructor for the massage program at Illinois Central College. In order to provide my clients with the most effective benefits of pain relief, I am furthering my knowledge in Massage by taking continuing education classes on a regular basis.
I believe that massage is no longer a luxury but it is now a necessity in the healthcare system as a preventative medicine. In addition to helping reduce stress (which in turn increases the body's immune system), massage helps to reduce acute and chronic pain. My goal is to focus on the problem area along with using finesse. This allows the body and mind to relax which in turn causes the specific muscle to eventually release without causing excessive inflammation. It is my intent to help you achieve both relaxation as well as pain reduction. In addition to the treatments I provide for my clients, I will send you home with self-care instructions which include stretches that help maintain pain relief, exercises, and specific skin care directions for lymphedema patients.

I grew up in the Peoria area and have lived here all my life. I have been interested in alternative healthcare methods for as long as I can remember, however I didn’t begin to incorporate health into my career until until I began to notice serious health declines in those who are close to me. In 2003 I graduated from The Central Illinois School of Massage Therapy. I have taken numerous continuing education courses in the Chicago area and have added Hot Stones Massage, Belvi Facelift Massage and Infant Massage to the treatments that I offer. Additionally I have studied Precision Neuromuscular Therapy which has educated me specifically on the spine, arm, hips, and headaches. I have chosen to focus specifically on treatment of shoulder pain and dysfunction. I truly believe that our quality of life would be much more enjoyable if we just took the time to invest in our health.
